SafeSocial does not create a separate account. The account used inside the app is your Instagram account.
Delete the Instagram account used in SafeSocial
- Open Instagram in SafeSocial, the Instagram app, or at instagram.com and sign in.
- Open Accounts Center, then choose Personal details.
- Choose Account ownership and control, then Deactivation or deletion.
- Select your Instagram account, choose Delete account, and complete Instagram's confirmation steps.
You can also use Instagram's account deletion help page. Meta controls deletion and retention for Instagram account data and may retain limited information for security, legal compliance, or backup integrity.
Remove SafeSocial data from this device
On Android, open Settings → Apps → SafeSocial → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall SafeSocial. This removes SafeSocial filter preferences, Instagram cookies, and web cache held locally by the app. SafeSocial keeps no copy of that data on a SafeSocial-operated server.
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → General → iPhone Storage or iPad Storage → SafeSocial → Delete App. Do not use Offload App if you want to remove the app's local documents and data. See Apple's storage instructions. This does not delete your Instagram account or data held by Meta.
